Case Study 1: Heilan Home RFID Full-process Application for an Optimized Supply Chain
Heilan Home uses the most RFID tags in China. Thinko Technology, a microenterprise incubated by Haier IoC, has designed a RFID Streamlined Reading System for Heilan Home. It is considered the largest RFID application project in China’s clothing industry. Since the start of operations of the project, Heilan Home has implemented digital management of the clothing industry, and through that, increased the efficiency of receiving & shipping by 200% and cutting down the cost by 50%. The project was included as one of the Top 10 Application Cases in the Wuxi National Internet of Things Innovation and Demonstration Zone.
Each year, over 10 billion pieces of clothes are tagged with RFID, among which 1 billion are used in China. In August 2018, Haier IoC and the China National Garment Association jointly set up the China Internet of Garment Ecosystem Alliance to promote the application of IoT technologies in the clothing industry. Haier IoC assists clothing enterprises in improving and upgrading the management system of the factories, optimizing supply chain management and product inventory, and increasing enterprise revenues.
Case Study 2: Elegant & Prosper (EP) Ecological Shopfront for Upgraded Consumption
EP collaborates with Haier IoC and has created shopfront ecosystem scenarioses which have increased inventory turnover by 30%, customer traffic by 18% and revenues by 15%.
Haier IoC provides smart store solutions to clothing enterprises and increases product management efficiency and accuracy by precision marketing. At La Chapelle stores, one employee can complete an inventory check within one hour with the help of a hand-held RFID device. The efficiency of inventory checks is increased 50-fold. When customers pick up clothes from the Smart Shelf, the product information will be displayed on the screen, and the time at which the clothes leave the shelf will be recorded and analysed to produce a try-on rate and transaction rate of each item.
Case Study 3: From Internet of Clothing to Internet of Shoes, From China to the World, IoC Keeps Iterating
The IoC ecosystem keeps expanding to create new ecosystems such as the ecosystem of shoes. Haier IoC invented the world’s first smart shoe-washing machine. The machine first detects the type of shoes and provides different washing solutions according to the structure and materials of shoes. To use the machine, users first take a picture of the shoes on the APP and the brand and type will be immediately recognized. The machine then recommends the most suitable washing program. Currently, the Haier Smart Shoe-washing Machine supports over 50 washing programs.
Case Study 4: Community Laundromat in Japan
In February 2018, Community Laundry (China) and AQUA Commercial Laundromat joined efforts in launching the world’s largest IoT laundry platform. Currently, Community Laundry works with India’s mobiles payment giant Paytm to develop a co-sharing laundry market in India and serve students at Indian universities. AQUA and Family work together on the new model of community laundry.
As the number of two-job families and single people continues to grow in Japan, commercial laundromats have become the first choice for young men and housewives. By drawing on the experience of the community laundromat model in China, AQUA, a medium- and high-end brand in Japan, has introduced a commercial community laundromat business. Haier AQUA Laundry is supported by independent IoT technologies. Users can check the availability of washing machines via computer or mobiles phones. After the laundry, users will be notified via SMS and decide on their own pick-up time. Moreover, the platform will monitor the data of each laundromat and publishes promotions in real-time. At present, Haier AQUA Laundry has set up over 20,000 networked machines, achieving a dominant market share of 75% in Japan.
